It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved self-hosted Draw.io installation.
When the company blocked Draw.io, one brave individual asked:
"What if we just host it ourselves?"
And thus...
A LEGEND WAS BORN.
For years, this humble server faithfully provided the ability to draw rectangles, connect arrows and create diagrams of questionable architectural quality.
It leaves behind:
💜 Countless flowcharts
💜 Beautifully questionable architecture diagrams
💜 Several 4000px-wide network topologies
💜 At least one diagram nobody understands
💜 Several abandoned projects
💜 A Docker container that nobody remembers creating
It asked for nothing in return.
Except electricity.
And disk space.
And occasional maintenance.
AND NOW IT MUST GO.
THE DIAGRAMS WILL LIVE ON.
They will be migrated.
They will be backed up.
They will eventually be forgotten.
BUT WE WILL NEVER FORGET THIS SERVER.
